Joseph & Marie's Sausage Noodle Dumplings

This is a miracle! It all came together deliciously. How did this come about? I had some smoked Polish sausage but no cabbage, I wondered "Why not apples to take the place, since apples work good with pork?"  And for a carb (starch/filler), I looked through the cupboards and only found pretzels and visualized...Well, the pretzels became like noodle dumplings (good nutty flavor), the apple skins totally disolved (more nutrients!), and it tasted better than cabbage! and with the juices and seasonings rising from the sausage beneath, it blended very well!

2-5 Sausages (Bratwurst, Italian, Keilbasa, etc.)

1 Cup Water

4 Apples (sliced WITH SKINS ON!)

2 Onions (sliced)

Pretzels (little finger size)


1. Place in crockpot in order given above
2. Turn crockpot on high for 3 1/2- 4 hours

         spread out evenly on bottom of crockpot
